Prayer Request
I have to wonder if hospitals have secret devices at the front entrances that suck out all of your energy. I have been so tired this week after spending Sunday and Monday at the Medical Center in Houston, Texas. My sweet sister-in-law went into preterm labor at only 26 weeks gestation.
Sunday was a nerve-wracking day. We were so worried about the unborn child. We also were worried about the mother and father. They were under tremendous stress, exhaustion, and scared. In the midst of all of these emotions, they were forced to make important decisions. Our extended family kept watch in the waiting room helpless, but able to show our love and support. My sister-in-law referred to our vigil as Camp Holliday (my maiden name).
Monday morning my niece was born. Little Adriana welcomed the world much earlier than scheduled, and little is probably an understatement. She weighed 1 pound 13 ounces. Adriana is truly a miracle. She is doing as well as can be expected now, but unfortunately with premature babies their conditions can change drastically.
We have had so many people praying for her and her family. I believe the prayers are working wonders. The reason that I am writing about her is to ask more people for prayers. I know my readers have supported my family with prayers on more than one occasion, and this is a very important one.
The Monday of her birth was less nerve-wracking than sitting in the waiting room listening to all the statistics and unknowns. The proud grandpa said, ” Yeah, yesterday we felt like we were falling off of a cliff.” I replied, “Exactly. And, now we just have to climb a mountain.”
We don’t know how steep the mountain climb will be or what obstacles will lay in our path, but we do know that when we make it to the summit, the view will be worth the struggle to get there. As with everything else in life, we need God’s help. Please lift the Holliday family and specifically Baby Adriana up in prayer.
And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Matthew 21: 22
…with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

I certainly have my prayer warriors in full force. Shawn told me today that you just have to get up, go to work come home and not worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow can change. God doesn’t give you more than you can handle “in one day”. He certainly knows since he went through this more than 20 years ago!
Love my family!!
Lara,
Camp Holliday has circled the wagons! I am praying and asking others to do the same. God is good and we have so much to be grateful for every day. One breath at a time.
Love you,
Diane
You all can count on me to pray. God bless and strengthen that precious child!
Praying for little Adriana and all her family. Please keep us posted.
