Snow Day!!

My kids were so excited as they went to bed last night because snow was falling.  When we woke up this morning, they were even more excited that it was still snowing.  Even though it is early, they have already been out, then in, then out, then in again.

I am getting flashbacks to our ski trip to Colorado when Isaac was just over a year.  He hated being cold and cried all the time.  Years later, he is still crying about his hands.  I think he should always live in temperate climates.

The other kids are having a blast.  My older boys went on a long walk this morning.  They wanted to check out the lake.  Luckily, they were smart enough to not try walking out on the ice around the perimeter.

Watching snow fall is just a peaceful, beautiful thing regardless of the cold.  I know that most of the country is inundated with snow and ice, but I am really enjoying the winter weather.  Unlike most places, Texas is supposed to really warm up tomorrow.  Winter is always temporary.

My children and I entered the Art For Homeschool February Art Show.  Voting for People’s Choice is going on now.  If you have time today or this weekend, take the time to place a vote.  I think you will be impressed with the quality of the work.

Have a great weekend.  Stay warm and safe.
