We received the best news yesterday at another doctor’s appointment in San Antonio, Texas.  Andrew is healed!  We no longer have to worry about infection, changing dressings, applying ointments, etc.  His burn healed, and it requires no extra special attention.  I do have to rub it with aquaphor or eucerin lotion to help the skin retain its moisture and elasticity, but that is all.  He can go swimming now and resume life as normal.  Needless to say, our family could not be more happy.

The doctor was completely beside herself yesterday.  The team of doctors that worked with Andrew and his burn were only expecting half of the wound to be healed.  Our doctor yesterday kept stroking the burn site, touching it, and gently poking it all while uttering “Unbelievable!,” “This looks so good!,” and “I can’t believe it!”

Of course we thank God for taking care of Andrew during this whole process.  The initial accident, the surgery, the skin graft, and healing process were all hard to endure, but we made it through with His help.  Thank you for praying for Andrew and our family.  The result is a healed baby boy in double time.  We are so appreciative; words cannot describe our gratitude.
